For over two decades, Airkewld has been producing Classic VW Drive-Train Components, with a few complete chassis builds included each year. In 2022, we paused our Complete Chassis Build program due to the high volume of orders for Complete Front Axle Beams and Complete Transaxles, with or without disc brakes. With our second-to-last chassis nearly finished, I have some exciting news to share about what’s next for our team of professionals. In the past 11 months, since our CEO started a MasterMind Group, we have developed a much larger vision for Airkewld's future. Through numerous ideas, learning experiences, and implementation efforts, we finally figured it out—ironically, after reading a small book recommended in our MasterMind Group titled "Who Moved My Cheese?" About seven years ago, we decided to focus exclusively on building chassis components. This meant no LED tail lights, no billet steering wheels, no turn signal mirrors, and no stainless door sills—just chassis components. Now that we have caught up on back-orders and established systems to manage larger orders from our wholesalers, it's time to put our larger plans into action. The professionals at Airkewld are excited to announce the creation of the DIY Chassis System. With this system, you can order everything you need to build a rolling chassis in your garage alongside your family and friends, making lasting memories while knowing that all the components will be included in the kits you order. 1. Determine the year of your body (for example, a '61 Ragtop). 2. Order your chassis, which comes with a title from Airkewld. 3. Order your assembled beam with disc brakes to attach to your new chassis. 4. Order your transaxle with disc brakes to connect to your new chassis. 5. Order all the small parts needed to meet every requirement for assembly. 6. Finally, order your wheels and tires and bolt them onto your chassis. Essentially, this is everything you need to build your life-size LEGO version of a Classic Volkswagen Beetle Chassis.
