Fits the following:
- 1949-1965 US Spec Type 1 Beetle-Bug-Fusca
- 1949-1965 US Spec Karmann Ghia
- Kit cars with link pin suspensions
Contrary to belief, the shockless beam can and does ride amazing when using Airkewld's delrin bushings. One tip though, if the vehicle is adjusted all the way down, the ride will be rough, lift it up and inch and the ride improves.

Parts List The Ultimate Beam comes raw, (non painted, unless ordered otherwise) with adjusters installed, delrin bushings, grease zerks and hardware for shocks and adjusters. Torsions, Tie rods do not come with the beam but are optional below.
Recommendations If your wheels are touching your fenders on turns, check out the article, "How to lower your VW Beetle/Ghia the right way" before deciding on purchasing a beam. Sometimes it is just an adjustment that can be made else where for the time being until the need grows larger for one of these Ultimate Beams.
The installation kit comes with the body mount rubbers, upper and lower, ARP stainless beam bolts, inspection plate cover with seal, 4 German tie rod ends and a Boge steering dampener.
Applications This Ultimate Beam is built to fit the 1949-65 US Spec LHD (Left Hand Drive) Beetle/Ghia, Replicas, Dune Buggies with a Link Pin front suspension.
Why an Ultimate Beam? Do you need to lift or lower your front end? Are your wheels scrubbing the fenders? Did you add some disc brakes or drop spindles on your ride and now they stick out? Are you trying to achieve a certain look? If any of these questions pertain to a need that you have, then The Ultimate Narrowed Beam is your answer. The Ultimate Narrowed Beam has about seven inches of adjust-ability so you can fine tune where you want your car. Because of the adjuster we use, you can adjust your car up and down by 1/16th inch increments. That means you can get the exact height and look you are after. If your wheels are sticking out after a disc brake addition, installing drop spindles or after installing a new set of wheels, The Ultimate Narrowed Beam is the product to remedy this issue. We can narrow a beam up to 4? with shock towers and no body modifications. The inside dimension is 29 13/16". That gives a clearance of 1/16" on each side.
Pro's versus Con's These beams are built with 100% brand new parts made in the USA. Each front end is jig built to ensure straightness and longevity. The beams are MIG welded for strength and clean looks. Everything is assembled but the derlin bushings so the beams can be powder coated, chromed or painted for the best fit and finish. Some companies use stock beams, narrow them, install adjusters and replace the bearing and bushing with poly urethane. This is old technology. Some companies skip steps to save time and money. We do not skip a thing.
