I have SOLD 17,500 of these and I bet you have never seen one of these. Right?
Crazy to think that after 9 years of selling these, we have sold over 17,500 in 38 countries! WoW!!! I bet you have never seen one and more than likely, your head will explode when I show it to you. What am I talking about? Great question.
There is a wing nut that when functioning at it best, is roughly a FIVE out TEN experience. This original nut, in theory, would allow the VW owner to adjust his clutch feel to get the right amount of pedal to disengage the clutch. But most of the time...........
Contrary to belief, the shockless beam can and does ride amazing when using Airkewld's delrin bushings. One tip though, if the vehicle is adjusted all the way down, the ride will be rough, lift it up and inch and the ride improves.
Beetle/Ghia's need a 4" Narrowed beam and short axles, (Standard equipment on pre 65 vehicles) or Narrowed IRS arms (69 and later) to run the wheels staggered. (More wheel lip in the rear)
14mm Studs with Acorn seat lug nuts

No body mods, cutting or notching is necessary with this beam. If the vehicle has been in an accident, it is possible that minimal massaging will be needed to install.
It can fit dual carbs with a mechanical fuel pump, but the down lead will need to be replaced with a braided hose to the fuel pump and back to the chassis. Currently, we do not offer those.
Anytime you rebuild/update/upgrade your transaxle, it never comes with oil in it. Make sure you add 90 wt after it is installed. It would be wise to update the trans mounts, nose cone seal and shift coupler/bushing if equipped.
