We started in the VW industry back in 1976 when Pete Skiba was born. He was born into this industry by his father, Ken Skiba, owner of Buggy World. Pete worked on everything VW that he could and learned from the best. In 1999, Pete, started his first business, Nu Image Customizing. This business was dedicated to the custom industry of cars and trucks. Anything from a full custom interior job, to an air ride system that allowed sparks to fly on the freeways. As time permitted, the quality of vehicles began to step up due to the quality of work Pete put out. Hot rod's and Mercedes Benz's were the norm in his shop. This was a perfect match! As the years went by, Pete was introduced into the world of wholesale manufacturing. He had know idea of what he was getting into! Nu Image Customizing became Nu Image Components Inc. With quality personell, the business grew to heights never imagined. In 2003, Pete invisioned the VW industry was his new stepping stone! Pete wanted this industry to see a New Breed of Air Cooled VW Accessories. In February 2003, Nu Image Components Inc. was sold and Airkewld was created. With Pete's mind and Ken's guidance, VW's and their enthusiasts, haven't seen anything yet! We will be dedicated to giving the VW enthusiast, the best products that the USA can produce.
