PART Number: 9707 Qty: Description Introduction When outfitting the air cooled VW with tires and wheels, you have two looks you can achieve. Staggered and non-staggered. When choosing a tire up front, low profile is a must because you are plus sizing. Smaller wheel, bigger tire - Original, bigger wheel, smaller tire, close to same diameter - Plus Sizing. Staggered models means, either the offsets of the wheels are different to achieve a look or the tire sizes are different to achieve a look. Looks/Style Most VW owners like the skinny up front and fat in the back. We do this by illusion. High offset wheels up front, with smaller sidewall tires, deeper offset wheels in the rear with a taller wider tire. It creates a very attractive look. For instance, when you are trying to get low with 15s, 135sr15 and 165sr15 tires are the most popular. For the aggressive look, 135sr15s up front and P205/65sr15s in the rear. With 17s, we like to stagger the tires with 205/40r17s in the front and p215/45r17s in the rear. For a VW that does not want that look, and wants to keep the same tire size for rotation purposes, the same offset and tire size is required but the look is monotone. We now have machines in house to allow us to make them absolutely perfect. Balancing Wide-5 Wheels, not a problem. Since custom wheels are not hub centric, lug centric balancing is required. All mounting, balancing charges include chrome steel valve stems. If you do not need them installed, please click that option in the drop down. Share your knowledge of this product.
